Our 2026 Endorsed Candidates

U.S. Senate
Peggy Flanagan -
Peggy understands what Minnesota families are facing right now – she lived it. Raised by a single mom in St. Louis Park, Peggy’s family was able to make it because of hard work and help from public programs like Section 8 housing, SNAP, and childcare assistance. Medicaid was her health insurance as she dealt with serious asthma that had her in and out of the hospital. Peggy knows Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s cuts to these programs, and so many more, are hurting Minnesota families. She’s running for Senate to fight back.

CD3 Congress:
Kelly Morrison -
Kelly Morrison has spent most of her career as a doctor – not a politician. As an OB-GYN who practiced in Minnesota for over 20 years, Kelly has dedicated her life to helping people. Her husband, John Willoughby, was an Army Ranger, and their family has always valued service above all.

CD5 Congress:
Ilhan Ohmar -
As a legislator, Rep. Omar is committed to fighting for the shared values of the 5th District, values that put people at the center of our democracy. She plans to focus on tackling many of the issues that she hears about most from her constituents, like investing in education and freeing students from the shackles of debt; ensuring a fair wage for a hard day's work; creating a just immigration system and tackling the existential threat of climate change.

Governor / Lieutenant Governor:
Amy Klobuchar -
U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar is the first woman elected to represent the State of Minnesota in the United States Senate. Throughout her public service, Senator Klobuchar has always embraced the values she learned growing up in Minnesota. Her grandfather worked 1500 feet underground in the iron ore mines of Northern Minnesota. Her father, Jim, was a newspaperman, and her mother, Rose, was an elementary school teacher who continued teaching until she was 70.

Ben Schierer -
Ben Schierer grew up in Fergus Falls, Minnesota—a community that has always shaped his values and commitment to public service. Fergus Falls is where Ben and his wife, Tessa, are raising their five children, and where together they built two Main Street businesses from the ground up. It’s also where Ben served two terms as mayor, earning reelection as a rural progressive in one of the reddest parts of the state.

MN Attorney General:
Keith Ellison -
Under Keith’s leadership, the Attorney General’s office has taken on the powerful on behalf of Minnesotans, lowering costs for Minnesotans by reducing the cost of insulin to $35, fighting price-gouging by greedy corporations, tackling medical debt, and holding opioid companies accountable for the deadly opioid epidemic. He is protecting tenants from exploitation, keeping Minnesotans safe from scammers and abuse, standing up for student borrowers, and holding greedy corporations accountable for screwing over Minnesotans.

MN Secretary of State:
Steve Simon
-
Steve Simon’s Minnesota roots and values run deep, and they inspire his commitment to the freedom to vote. His grandfather was born in Eveleth to Jewish immigrants who fled persecution in Lithuania – where they lacked the basic right to choose who governed them. They ran a dry goods store in Hill City before moving to St. Paul.

MN State Auditor:
Zack Filipovich -
Zack is an Accountant from Duluth and running to be our next State Auditor. He is a public finance expert and regional economic development advocate. As an accountant for over a decade, Zack has worked with small businesses, individuals and local governments to help them be more financially sustainable. His work has focused on ensuring dollars are used wisely and that communities, especially those in Greater Minnesota, have the resources they need to thrive. In 2013 he ran and won as the youngest city councilor in Duluth's history. After serving 8 years representing the city At-large, Zack went back to the University of Minnesota Duluth for his MBA.

State House Representatives:
Julie Greene
Serving Edina and Bloomington in St. Paul has been challenging, deeply meaningful, and an incredible honor. Thank you for believing in me and for standing with me in our shared values and priorities. I will always choose hope, stability, and community.

Steven Elkins
Steve is deeply rooted in Bloomington, which he has served for over 25 years as a City Councilmember, Planning Commissioner, Housing & Redevelopment Commissioner, Metropolitan Councilmember, and, for the past six years, as the Representative for the western part of the City in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

Hennepin County Attorney:
Cedrick Frazier is our DFL-endorsed candidate for Hennepin County Attorney. He is a State Representative, attorney, father, and community leader running to be our next Hennepin County Attorney.
