Senate District 50 DFL Convention - Campaign Hospitality
Candidates seeking DFL endorsement are invited to apply for table space and/or a hospitality room. This includes candidates for these offices: Senate District 50, House District 50a and 50b, Congressional Districts 3 and 5, and Hennepin County.
Candidates seeking DFL endorsement for other offices, such as U.S. Senate and Statewide Offices, organizations, and community groups, may also be allowed to apply for tabling space at the discretion of the Senate District Chair.
All applications are subject to approval by the Chair of SD50 DFL.

Cleaning Deposits:
All applicants are subject to a one-time fully-refundable cleaning deposit payable by check (separate check from table space and/or hospitality room check).The Arrangements Committee Chair or their designee will be available to meet with the applicant and initial a checklist showing receipt and refund of the deposit. Deposits must be received no later than March 31, 2026. Deposits will be held by the Senate District until after the convention.
Deposits are refundable at the close of the convention after the applicant meets with the Arrangements Committee Chair or their designee to ensure the space is clean with no remaining signs, literature, etc. Deposits not collected from the Arrangements Committee Chair or their designee on-site within one hour of Convention adjournment are retained at the discretion of the Senate District Chair.

Table Spaces:
One table space per applicant. Applicants must provide their own table and chairs, total table length no greater than 6 feet.
All tables, chairs, and supplies must be contained within the assigned 6-foot table space.
Selling or providing food or beverages at tables is not permitted except for small individually-wrapped treats or candies as giveaways.
The location of table spaces will be in the proximity to the convention hall, determined by the Arrangements Committee with priority given to Senate District 50 candidates and House District 50a and 50b candidates. -
Hospitality Rooms:
(Candidates only) One hospitality room per candidate.
Applicants may provide food and general hospitality to their guests. The location of rooms will be in the proximity to the convention hall, determined by the Arrangements Committee with priority given to Senate District 50 Senate candidates and House District 50a and 50b candidates.
Rooms and all furnishings must be left exactly as found or the deposit is forfeited.
Additional details regarding any food restrictions and how trash and recycling should be handled will be provided once this information is provided by Bloomington Public Schools. -
Payments:
Table space and/or hospitality room payment may be made via check and must be received no later than March 31, 2026.
Please make TWO SEPARATE CHECKS for (a) refundable deposits and (b) nonrefundable table space / hospitality room reservations.
